Intercom and switching equipment АВСК1 (Р-174) is intended for arrangement of internal and external communication among mobile objects.

АВСК1 represents a set of amplifying and commutating devices which provide subscribers with selected communication types. Based on units options, different configurations of intercom and switching equipment АВСК1 are being produced for mobile objects.

FUNCTIONAL POSSIBILITIES

Depending on production version, АВСК1 provides following types of communication when included in mobile objects:

- Internal two-way duplex telephone communication with all subscribers (up to seven) of the object along with listening to own voice;

- Internal circular two-way telephone communication with all subscribers of the object along with listening to own voice;

- Service two-way telephone communication with subscriber of the telephone set taken away at the distance of up to 500 m;

- Simplex radio telephone communication through USW and SW radio stations for subscribers (up to four) of the object and for the subscriber of the telephone set in the mode of the radio station remote control;

- Simplex radio telephone communication through USW radio station for driver;

- Listening to radio receiver for subscribers (up to four) of the object;

- Reception of tone call signal from receiver and transmission and reception of tone call signals along radio stations and wire telephone line;

- Possibility to listen to signal from announcement equipment ГО-27 in communication helmet telephones for all the subscribers independently of their operating modes;

- Possibility of smooth adjustment of signal level in communication helmet telephones.

АВСК1 provides joint operation with the equipment listed in the under given Table.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Power supply of the equipment should be effected from 27 (+2/-5) V DC on-board mains with the negative chassis grounded. The supply voltage pulsation acceptable amplitude is 3 V, max. within the frequency range of 100 - 6000 Hz. The maximum power consumed by the equipment from the object on-board mains does not exceed 30 W. The equipment amplification paths provide passage of voice signals within the frequency range of 300 - 3400 Hz. Talking circuits of internal and external communications are made as the four-wire ones. Output to the telephone set is fulfilled over two-wire circuit.

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE OF THE EQUIPMENT UNITS:

Unit АС34 is the main switching unit and it is used in all versions of АВСК1 equipment.

Two radio stations and a receiver are connected to the Unit, power supply from on-board mains. Unit АС34 is a commanding officer (radio operator) subscriber unit. To provide necessary types of external and internal communication, the unit includes an operation type switch, and a commanding officer (radio operator) breast switch is connected to the unit.

Unit АС34 provides the following functions:

- supply of power to all another equipment units;

- switching of low frequency circuit subscribers of units АС35, АС36, АС38 to radio facilities (РС1, РС2, RCVR) in ICS mode (with 10 V reception level);

- switching of unit AC37 low frequency circuits to РС1;

- ringing to radio facilities, call acceptance from radio facilities with forming tone ringing of corresponding frequency;

- amplification of power of speaking voltages supplied to unit AC34 internal communication amplifier input from subscribers operating in internal communication network.

The rest subscriber units of АВСК1 equipment are connected to unit АС34, namely: units АС35, АС37, АС36, АС38.

Volume control located on unit АС34 provides adjustment of volume of signals delivered to subscribers telephones in IC mode.

Up to three subscribers continuously available in internal communication network can be connected through cable to unit АС34.

Unit АС35 is intended for providing the subscriber with operation types of external and internal communication, the breast switch of the subscriber is connected to the unit.

The operation mode switch is located on the unit. The unit itself is connected through two connectors to unit АС34 directly or through unit АС38 or АС36.

Unit АС36 is intended for providing its subscriber with operation types of external and internal communication, the subscriber breast switch is connected to it.

The operation type switch is located on the unit. The unit itself is connected through two connectors directly to unit АС34 and can serve as a stretcher for unit АС35 connection.

Unit АС37 is intended for providing a mobile object driver with external communication over РС1 and internal communication, the driver breast switch is connected to it.

The announcement equipment circuits are connected to the unit, the matching amplifier is placed in the unit and that amplified provides the announcement equipment circuits matching with unit AC34 internal communication amplifier input.

Unit АС37 is connected directly to unit АС34.

Unit АС38 is intended for connection of two-wire telephone line, transmission and reception of inductor call from the line, subscriber providing with external radio communication line and intercommunication as well as AC38 unit subscriber providing with operation modes of internal and external communication, the subscriber breast switch is connected to the unit.

Unit АС38 is connected through two connectors directly to unit АС34 and can serve as a stretcher for unit АС35 connection.

Breast switch МН1 is intended for the radio station switching from reception to transmission, arrangement of circular internal communication and amplification of audio frequency signal coming from the communication helmet throat microphones.

The breast switch is manufactured in some versions which differ by their cable lengths.
